PRESS: Fix Price may open at least 15,500 stores in Russia, CIS
MOSCOW, Oct 7 (PRIME) -- Russian discount retail chain Fix Price expects to triple the development of its network in the next 10–15 years and sees the potential to open at least 15,500 stores in Russia and other CIS countries, Kommersant business daily reported on Thursday, citing the company’s CEO Dmitry Kirsanov.
“We are confident that we can triple the development of the chain in the next 10–15 years. … We see the potential to open at least 15,500 stores in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries,” Kirsanov said, the daily reported.
The retailer plans to open 750 stores in 2022, and 800 stores annually starting from 2023. The company expect to open 730 stores by the end of 2021, Kirsanov also said.
As of the end of June, the chain comprised 4,585 stores in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan.
